My Background

I spent 12 years alongside a master electrician in Florida. I was his apprentice, and the license on the truck was his, not mine. Those years were a real education. Pulling wire in Port Orange attics in August. Upgrading panels in Daytona Beach. Troubleshooting dead circuits on Ormond Beach remodels. The kind of work where you learn the trade by doing it, one service call at a time.

Two things became obvious on the job site that most marketing people will never see. First, how the electrical trade actually runs day to day, not how a textbook describes it. Second, how much money a solo operator or a two-truck shop leaves on the table when the back office can't keep up with the field work.

The phone would ring while we were 20 feet up in an attic with a live panel pulled apart. We'd let it go to voicemail because stopping was dangerous.
